I've emailed both Paligap and Powertap EU service. Got a very prompt response, Paligap 'no longer distributes or services Powertap products'. The Powertap service also replied and quoted 320gbp (+25gbp for shipping, I'm in the Netherlands), for what I understood, whatever is wrong with a pre-G3 hub they always change the internals to G3. I was also told that the conversion kit would have a 2 year warranty which I reckon is quite good.
From a financial point of view repairing it does not seem to make much sense, used wheels go for less :'( -

Hey all, I think my powertap sl+ hub broke on me, it connects just fine to a garmin but regardless of how much power I'm putting out it always shows 0w (and 0rpm). Tried taking out batteries and changing them, didn't help. Anyone had similar experiences in the past? Dead strain gauges or any other magic that's inside?

I have an old Powertap SL+ and the bearings (in the hub body) are getting a bit rough.
Anyone attempted replacing those? Would really like to avoid sending them off to Saris
I will most likely be taking that to a shop, for what i've read on weightweenies it's might even be a DIY job and doesn't require any fancy recalibration..
Any advice? -
