    Hi again,
Can anybody tell me the cost for renting a van like a Ford Transit with capassity for 6 persons, to be piked up in London and be delivered in Edinburgh late on the same day.
because we arrive in london at 9:00 and we have to wait alot for the fligth to Edinburgh and it costs aproximatly 450 £ for six persons, and probably hiring a van its cheeper
I tryed to get rates for that on the internet but its not available.
Can u also tell me where can i see if the motorways have toll and how much they cost?

    Thank you very much

Thank you all for your help,
So, everybody agrees that the West coast e nicer that the east coast?
We cross the suiss alps last year (Milan-Zurich) and it was ok, and we also live in the north of Portugal so, the climbing its not a problem, We want to see nice landscapes, Castles, (I think Castles are everywere in the UK rigth? but some are nicer then outhers). Any site not to miss?

Which rout do you suggest from Edinburgh? West coast? Midle or East coast?

    Thank You

From 373km-396km you've routed yourself down a motorway, which is not only definitely not recommended and dangerous, but illegal!

Your route also takes in a lot of very busy A (main) roads such as the A1 which are legal to cycle down but not recommended if you want to enjoy the trip.

    Thank you for that info.
This rout is just a sketch, i've selected some points and the program gave me a rout, although i've chosen bike paths, looks like its not totaly funccional.
I'm starting to see this more detailed, mile by mile, but didnt got to that location yet.
This is why i asked for help, because i dont know which are the less busy roads or if there is some unpaved alternative.

So lets see if i understood, normaly all A roads are national roads so, more busy, rigth?

    Thanks for the tip

    Hi, Everyone

My name is Eduardo and i'm from Portugal.
Next Summer (From August 1 to 14), me and some friends are going to do Edinburgh- london and we need some advices about the weather and places not to miss along the way.

    The rout: [ame="http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2345859"]http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2345859[/ame
    %22%5D%5B/ame]

We want to folow the coast line from Edinburgh to Newcastle, then see the High Force watterfall and across the Hownsgill Viaduct, and on the way to London pass through Nottingham.
I need some information about places or routs not to miss along the way.

We will be traveling in MTB Bikes so, any kind of road is suitable.

We are thinking about camping along the way, do you recomend? Or its easy to find cheap places to stay for the nigth?

Any Help that you can give or advice that you think its important will be appreciated.

Sorry for my English but i think i've made my self understood.

Thank you and nice rides to all.
