Split is not going to happen, sorry.
This is correct, warranty is usually only valid for the original owner.
However, I would be more than happy to personally help you with the warranty claim if ever needed. I have a direct contact at Giant so this will not be a problem. -

Would prefer the chrome one, but any modern Bianchi Pista Steel will do.
