FINISHED! Had issues with final lacquer coat, it's not at all perfect but I'm gonna ride the hell outta it anyway! So oh well!
And I remembered why I originally called it 'dutch courage' I originally got it from someone in the Netherlands!

Sorry about the lack of updates, paint is done (won't photograph till finished) here's my handmade vinyl decals. Ignore the rough edges, these were finished off a bit better after taking photos. Pretty pleased considering!!

You should give a citric acid bath a go for removing the rust, I recently used it on some well rusted forks and it worked much better than my previous vinegar efforts.Easy to get hold of and no vinegar smell so can be done indoors : )
