am looking for a mixte frame, would you consider splitting I would only need the frame, forks, seat post, front wheel and front brake nowt else, any good?? would such a project be called a mixte fixie??? or a fixie mixte???
Hi Raith. Thanks for your enquiry. To be honest I'm not savvy enough to strip a bike lacking both experience and time. I was hoping to sell the bike complete. If it still appeals, you could try a reasonable offer for the whole bike...
Thanks for posting the link. Don't they look terrific? I was tempted to put drops on mine (I have spares but not sure if they will fit) but I figured I didn't need another road bike and like it with the flats.

Hi all. Another couple of photos. I have more but am having a few difficulties uploading.
Re the seat, I'm not a Brooks specialist) but I wonder if it has a Brooks or replica Brooks on it? Very comfortable.
Sizing wise I think this would suit anyone from 5ft 3 upwards - very comfortable and ready to go. With the 531 frame, surely this is a great contender for a project....

I think it must be the day for posting up Mixtes! I have an original 1975 Raleigh for sale which you can either ride as is or would make a great basis for a SS or fixed project. Here's the info I have on the bike:
Raleigh Super Course Mixte Mk II in original used condition
Frame: Frame number wm5003739
Size: Top of seat post to centre of crank = 50cm - down tube 56cm
Date: 1975 (see Sheldon Brown Web site)
Drive: Nervar Sport crank / Huret front an rear derailleurs / Suntour Shifters 10 Speed
Frame Material: Reynolds 531
Brakes: Weinmann centre pull
Wheels/tyres: not sure of make but 27"/1 1/4 - Michelin tyres
Accessories: look like original guards (not currently fitted) and have just put a Pletscher rear rack on itPaint: in original condition - Emerald green/white
Flaws: Couple of minor dings in the frame (not noticable)
Condition: perfectly useable condition (used this week) and ready to go
Reason for selling: was going to sympathetically restore/uprate but have found and bought my perfect reconditioned Gazelle Mixte (to match my Champion Mondial)Will try to upload photos - it's in used condition so apologies for any sand/dirt shown on it. If you need any more information please let me know.
I was hoping to get £150 or thereabouts for it (what I'm in it for) but I'm realistic and have another bike on it's way so I'm open to offers.
I am in Surrey (but work West of London so could possibly work something out) so if you need delivery then any price will be + postage.
Thanks for looking.

Not sure if you're still looking but I have a 1975 Raleigh Super Course Mk II with 531 frame in original condition. It's 50cm from centre crank to top of the seat post. Will post on the Classifieds this weekend - got loads of info and pictures if needed. Not a SS or fixed but easy conversion (10 speed currently). Looking for offers over £100

Hi all. Newby here. I have a 1975 Raleigh Super Course Mixte Mk II for sale which is in original condition and a lovely Emerald Green/white. It's a 50cm (centre crank to top of seat post) - I'm 5ft 8 and it would easily fit someone shorter or taller. 10 speed (Huret Challenger), Nervar crank and Suntour shifters.
Photo attached and I have lots more and can give more detail. Looking for offers over £100. Am based in Surrey but work west of London so might be able to arrange to drop off.

Hi all. New and as some others I'm not in London (Surrey based) although do work within the M25. I also don't currently have a SS or fixed but I hang out on a Gazelle Champion Mondial (just completed the 75km route of L'Eroica on it) and also a carbon fibre Focus off the pro tour (long story). I would love to hang out with like minded people and have already started posting on the Ladies forum.

Hi there. I am new to the forum but hope I may have something of interest. I have a 1975 Raleigh Super Course Mixte Mk II for sale in classic Emerald green and white. It's basically untouched with original paint, gears, brakes etc. I can give you a full spec if you like (will be posting it on the Sale board very soon).
The only issue is that it's a 20 inch however I am 5ft 8 and it's a good fit for me without any amendments to the seat post/stem etc. I have the seat up about about 27.5inch. As far as I can tell a Mixte measures up very differently to a standard road bike.
Based in Surrey and looking for offers over £100. I have plenty more photos is needed. This one is from the guy I bought it from showing the mud guards (not currently on). Reason for selling is that I'm buying a Gazelle Mixte to match my Gazelle Champion Mondial road bike...husband has told me something must go...
Hi all. transaction just going through - bike sold.
Thanks for your interest and I hope the new owner has loads of fun with it!
