So I managed to lose my Brompton (I folded it up as I got into a taxi and forgot to put it in the boot... beer may have been involved). Bit gutted as it was only just over a year or so old :'(
Anyway, I've just looked to get a new one to replace it and it seems they are still in very short supply. Is there anyone taking custom orders at the moment? It seems 2-speed bikes don't feature much in off-the-shelf/in stock bikes!

It seems to pull the cable but only a tiny amount. I'm unsure quite how much it should moving :-)
It looks clean to me so I suspect this is the problem. The shop want it back to service soon anyway so I'll let them handle it.
Is there a technique to pulling the seat up to the same(ish) height each time? I seem to get it wrong almost every time

So just a couple of weeks in to brompton ownership and it is stuck in the lowest gear! The shifter clicks but it doesn't change gear. Is there anything obvious I should I be checking to get it working again to save a trip to the shop? For reference, it's a 2-speed...

Sounds like I should be good to get any lights then, ta. Hopefully I'll be able to pick something up in the black friday sales.

My shiney new Brompton arrived in the store today and I can collect it monday!
The question is, what lights should I get? Living in London they only need to be sufficient to help people spot me rather than lighting up a dark road. Are there any options besides the Cateye ones that won't impact on the fold?

Further to looking at getting a new Brompton I think I'll go for the retro look with tempest blue and tan wall tyres.
Seems to be a mix of 2018, 2019 and 2020 bikes around (looking at new). Are there actually any differences between these models besides price? Any little tweaks/changes that are worth paying more for?

True, I'm just surprised it has been discontinued I guess!
With the conversion I guess it comes to around £1200 vs £1015 for the factory black edition? Plain black is looking more tempting :-)
I hope that's not an orange 2020 model S2L found abandoned in SE London lol
