is there a thread anywhere about the disco / christmas tree lights that lots of people had? Are they battery powered? Where do you get them for a good price?

First time for me too, no punctures, fellow rider desserted me at my point of weakness at 3am. It was bloody hard, I did go for the padded shorts option which helped but my hands were in quite a lot of pain. But hell, I made it and the extra 32 miles back to the train at Ipswich. The best bit was the bit just before Ipswich -gentle ups and downs but it seemed like more down and watching so many red lights ahead into the distance, and the night time combine harvesters sci fi moment.

I have found some sellers on ebay, selling 8-10 colours of gear and brake cable housing but does anyone know of anywhere that does more than one shade of blue for example?

Yes. Caliper measured, its an old bike and the 1 1/8 coupling just slides in with a bit of space
My back wheel, a 26" halo hub, t2 halo rim, black with an 11 speed shimano slx cassette, my shimano slx shifters and hydraulic brakes levers and calipers and rear derailleur all slx were stolen on Saturday from Deptford. If anyone sees anything, distinguishing feature is that they left the left hand shifter. Anyway pm me if you see anything like that please.
So frustrating, 2 more bikes stolen last night from same place, "secure car park" under my building.
