Hi Everybody,
I didn't see any Rider Down thread already posted about this accident, sorry if there already is one.
I am looking for any information or witnesses regarding a cyclist-cyclist head-on collision which took place in Cambridge on Friday October 5th 2013 around 7pm. It happened at the then-newly reconstructed intersection of Hills road and Lensfield/Gonville road near the church big Loyds bank. This is the new "safety" intersection which now allows cycles to ride off 5-seconds before the cars.
Article here --> http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/News/Cyclist-fights-for-life-after-two-riders-in-collision-at-revamped-safety-junction-in-Cambridge-20131005102516.htm
I was the cyclist left in critical-condition fighting for my life, I am now fully healed and doing fine (for potential legal purposes I do not wish to contaminate any possible statements by disclosing where I was coming from or what I remember happening).
I am looking for ANY witnesses to the accident who may be able to provide a statement of what happened. If you witnessed the collision, or even if you came across the scene just after it had happened, I would greatly appreciate you sending me a message so I may ask you about what you observed.
Thank you for all your help in this matter and your well-wishes. I know even if there isn't a rider-down thread, we all hear about these accidents daily and wish all our injured cyclists the best in their recovery.
God bless, and ride safely.
