I reruted the brake cable and it works quite well. Not as good as it used to, but good enough. Thanks for all the advice!

In the UK, turning up at their office to collect and threatening to call the police unless they release the goods has been known to produce results.

Here I probably would get arrested for "disturbing the peace".

Last week I ordered 3 baselayers from Rapha with the 30% discount, two for me and one for the gf, since everybody seems to speak so highly of them here. They sent it via DHL (to Chile), and I was expecting to pay VAT + Ad valorem + a little extra for taking this stuff out of customs. For some reason I cant understand, DHL felt that they should charge me 50 usd for their service clearing customs. I didn´t find this to be a fair amount, so I sent an email to Rapha telling them this and that they didn´t warn me of this and that I expected this to be covered in the shipping expenses I already paid. And this is where, for me, Rapha really shined. I expected some kind of apology but not much more, but they gave me the option to return the items and get my money back (I didnt take it since one baselayer was a gift to my girlfriend and I needed it). So I told them that I would be more than satisfied if they just sent something worth the 50 USD that I felt I was overcharged. They had no problem with this, and sent a package that very same day.
It arrived last friday. They sent 2 caps, 1 merino hat and a pair of team sky replica bib shorts. That`s a lot more than I expected and I believe that it is more than great customer service, so I wanted to give some props to Rapha.
It is a shame they work with DHL though.

    Thanks for the help!
Im sure it is not seized pivots or tension on the pivot bolts. The brake is actually quite new (>1000km). I think the problem is that the spring deformed plastically (I don´t know how I managed to do this), so it lost its "springness". Im in Chile, so it won`t be so easy to source one... might be cheaper to just get a new brake.

Hi everyone, I`m having some trouble with the front brake of my road bike. It is a campagnolo Athena dual pivot brake caliper, and the problem I have is that the return spring won't force the arms apart with enough force. I disassembled and reassembled, but it still isn´t working right.
Any ideas of why this might be happening?

If you are considering silver athena, consider this place:

I bought the very same group from Total Cycling 3 months ago and haven´t received the brake calipers yet. It is also cheaper. The only reason I didn´t buy from Bike Components is because I wanted 170mm cranks.

Almost sure it is a pelizzoli, because of the sticker in the back of the st.

I couldnt find any store shipping the bontragers to Chile, and shipping alone for the Somas was 35 pounds, so I looked for another option.
