anyone into this bottom bracket standard stuff? tried to find reliable information online but all I got was headaches.
got myself a second hand quarq dzero advertised to be GXP, turns out to be BB30 with an axle length of 95mm plus 5 mm spacer (so actually BB30A or not?). my frame has got a BB386 evo standard with 86,5 mm BB width. is this going to work out with a PF30 bottom bracket or am I totally fucked? refund is an option but it was cheap so I wouldn't mind tinkering a bit.

guys, help me out here:
planning to buy some Chinese carbon to swap my 27,5" hardtail mtb's alloy frame, not quite sure when it comes to color. options are as following:
plain matte carbon, aka another boring black bike
chameleon in green or purple
is this super rad or first symptom of mid life crisis?

maybe it ain't too bad with benotto tape, even though some finishing tape at the top might have helped even out the jump in diameter on your bar...
but when it comes to cotton tape I would always go bottom to top when wrapping. OP's tape might unravel just by looking at it -
do you also love when it comes loose under your hands?

turned out quite nice, unfortunately you wrapped your bars starting at the top :(

yellow frames plus black always tend to look ace.
seatpost and valve caps are not so nice however

it's so much nicer with the decals on!
really like the look of single colour paintjobs with unobtrusive decals over the rather hectic and messy factory designs.
regarding the broken saddle rails: did you use a torque wrench when installing it?

just out of curiosity: how did you manage to get the headset adjusted with that much steerer on top of it?
and can you put full load on the stem screws without an expander in the steerer that keeps you from crushing it?
I got the aluminium version, which, according to the quarq website will not work with bb386 shells... so swapping to a carbon version of the cranks would to the trick?
