I sadly imagine the deaths from economic consequences may be greater. But understandably governments have to act to protect the stability of our health systems and immediate lives.
Unfortunately deaths from a vast array of inequalities are accepted as the norm in our current global system - wealth inequality, climate change, air pollution etc...

The HDITP (w Lyme NT) route posted doesn't actually go on any off-road paths within Lyme Park, all good tarmac roads not within the NT site. Granted the extra climbing probably won't be welcome by that time.

Yes I'm definitely up for it and currently free on either date. Stockport might be a good starting point to get a bit nearer and easy for Londoners to get to.
