I am currently starting a single speed project with an old Raleigh Winner frame. I have stripped the frame however have encountered a problem when removing the chainset and bottom bracket, in that I can not remove the final nut of the bottom bracket!
As shown in the pictures one side can free fine with the chainset, however the opposite side is proving impossible to remove with wrenches. I understand that this is likely to have a reverse thread, however I can not seem to get any grip or leverage on the nut to break its seal.
Can anyone give me any help or tips before I attempt to cut the nut out with a saw!!
Thanks

Hi this is unrelated (kind of) to this thread but as I have just joined I have been informed I need to add to three threads to verify my authenticity :-p
I have a raleigh winner that I am in the process of converting to fixed. Can anyone recommend a decent wheel set with flip flop hubs please?
Thanks
I to am in the process and would love any info/help regarding rims and bottom brackets!
Where are you based? Also are the wheels true?
