  Hi,
  I have almost finished putting together my 1950s Beasley track frame and am wondering how to protect the patina which has developed.

  It has some surface rust where the paint has come off, but generally is really nice. I essentially want to protect it and stop it changing much more. It is not really rust proofing (as per other threads) but rather... rust caring...

  I dont want to put a clear coat on, as this will make it shiny and 'freeze' its development. I am thinking a wax would be best.

  Any suggestions would be great.

  Thanks Chris, but I am after something more similar to the campy/DA aero style, not fluted. Cheers anyway!

  Anyone got a 26.8mm seatpost? new or used...
  Should have an outgoing personality, be reasonably slim, preferably from japan or italy & enjoy long rides around the park.

  100mm or even a little smaller as the top tube is on the long side.
  Happy for it to have a used patina, through to mint. Do not want to re-chrome myself.

  Ernest, I really like that stem, but fear it will be a little long for me.

  I have included some pics of the frame FYI. Put a spare BB/Crank on for now, also have the original. Any thoughts/comments?
