Sort of getting the impression you dont agree with my price, lol. Im open to offers. That bike with the DA is apples and pears, imo. And something like this Cannot be built for 300 to the same spec and quality. #fact. Its cool, if noone is interested i'll have to find somewhere else to sell it. In the meantime swearing and being a condescending twat, like @Bleakreference is, i dont think is called for. :-)

    Ok, so...

No I wont be splitting it down at all. I got to the price by adding up all the parts and it came to almost exactly 650, if it has to go for less then I will consider reasonable offers.
Are you asking what brand the bike is or the clamp?
This is my first build that I never intended keeping, Ive built my own bikes before. I have a full time job. If i sell through this forum I will definitely make a donation. If i can get most of my money back I intend to start another one soon. Its not about making money, otherwise i'd probably be on about 50p an hour :-P

Here I have for sale my latest creation. It’s a Single Speed or FixedGear bike with Brakes. I spent many hours and ££’s getting this bike from a dirty old frame to this lovely finished product. I have to say I am extremely pleased with the outcome and I’m sure it will do its new owner proud for many years tocome.

It is a Large frame. Dimensions are below. I am 6ft2 and I have had a quick test ride on it at the saddle height shown. If I was keeping it then I would probably raise it by a couple of cm’s. It’s a very relaxed position and rides really nice and smooth.

I don’t want to post it, so collection only thanks. I am happy to meet in the SW of London but no further than that. Any questions at all or anything I’ve forgotten then drop me a line, test rides/inspections more than welcome.

    Price: £650

Details of the bike with reused parts first then new parts, andthen more pics below.

    Cheers,

    Dan

Peugot Elan GT Frame stripped and resprayed by Armourtex Ltd in Hackney. Gloss Orange finish(2 coats of paint) Flawless finish, they did a fantastic job!

Original Headset that has been polished up to the best of my ability and the bearings have been checked and regreased.

Original Seatpost. Few little scratches, but polished up nice and shiny. The saddle clamp is also the original one. It was very rusty and I have got rid of 99% of the rust and grime and it looks really nice now. I tried to take a pic but it didn’t really come out very well.

Tyres, Schwalbe Marathon Plus 700x28c I had these on a hybrid bike for a couple hundred miles. They are in excellent condition, these tyres are renowned for being very puncture resistant. They also have the reflective strip all the way around the tyre.

Vintage Dura Ace FC 7701 Crankset 175mm crankarm lengths. In excellent condition, some slight wear to the ‘Dura Ace’ Decals but still looks great.

Wellgo LU964 Pedals. Removed from the same Bike as the Tyres having done the same milage. I have the toe clips and reflectors for these pedals if you would like those too?

EVERYTHING LISTED BELOW IS BRAND NEW

Wheels-42mm ‘Blue Label’ Rims with Quando hubs. The rear is a flip flop hub. With a 16T Dicta freewheel and 16T Velo Solo Track cog. The braking surface is also black.

FSA Gossamer BB30 Compact(50/34) Crankset. 170mm Crankarm length. It looks brand new. The teeth are ever so slightly marked from a chain but hardly noticeable at all. £35

Polygon Brake Levers for Track/Single Speed/Old Skool project? Cables come out of the top. For Bar size 22.2-23.8.In decent condition for age. No rips on the hoods, no big chips or anything, just a bit worn. £6

Vintage Dura-Ace Brake Levers BL-7400. No hoods(see below) Some wear on the levers themselves and some scratches on the bit that would be covered by the hoods. Nice levers though. £30

Vintage Dura Ace Brake Lever Hoods. New Old Stock. I bought these for the levers, although I haven’t opened them I don’t think they are compatible as there is no hole in the top for the cable to go through. Unless I’m being stupid? (likely) Bought them from Hilary Stone as they were supposedly DA 7400 Brake lever hoods. Maybe someone knows which DA Brake they are for? Maybe they are compatible?? Part number on them is #88B98011. £12

18T Fixed Sprocket for Track or Fixie. Generic Black. Not used. Came on a flip flop hub I bought. I changed it to a 16T without ever using it. £6

Bontrager Bar ends with Bontrager end caps for the bars. Few little scratches. £6

Pair of SPD type Toe Clip pedals. They suit MTB type SPD shoes as they have a ‘V’ inside that you slide into. Maybe that’s a crap description?? Any questions or more pics, just ask. They came on a Ladies Boardman Team Road Bike. Few scratches underneath but nothing too bad. £8

Bottom Bracket off a Peugot Frame. English Thread. 121mm. Tiny bit of play around the bearings but other than that is working great. The photo has tape around the ends just to keep all 3 bits together whilst it sits on the shelf. £3 (to cover postage) or free if collecting.

Shimano Octalink Bottom Bracket Alivio ES25 68 x 118mm Brand new. I ordered the wrong one and never got round to returning it :-S £8

Atax Quill Stem. Fits a 1inch stem (22.2mm fitting) Length is 100mm. In great condition for age. No big scratches or dents. £8
    [/quote]

I also have 3 sets of new front and rear deflectors and a couple of very basic bells that i took off new bikes. If anyone wants/needs them, then ill chuck them in the post for you gratis. :)

Failing that, try this guy http://bikeadelic.blogspot.co.uk/ if he doesnt know then probably noone will :)

Let us know when you find out! Its a lovely bike, if thats what you are looking for I dont think youll find it elsewhere for less than £600ish
