Really useful this thread. I will probably use a lot of the stuff you have used. I wouldn't mind using a flip flop wheel at the back but I think that would up my price quite a lot? Any advice?

Almost done. running it single speed just need a brake and some pedals

Hi all, I have got an old road bike (not a clue what make) and really want to convert it into a single speed (with a flip flop wheel) anyone got any advice about where to start looking for good flip flop wheels, good makes etc?
I would also love a cheap ss/ff Back wheel. Anyone got one?
I am converting my current bike so I would also need a bit of advice on collection.
