I don't know your area, but route-planning would be a good idea, comfy shorts, and keep your fluids up. Not a bad distance, just go for it. We do 50 milers on dry sundays.

Vintage bikes look better without the respray i think. As long as it's not chipped heavily.

I wouldn't say so, i can be a complete c***, but i'm trying to realize life is too short and we just need to get on with it. Semi similar, my best friend in college was killed by a girl texting whilst driving (he was in a car, not a bike), so it does enrage me. I'm just so tired of holding that grudge though :(
Riding earlier i saw 2 women (on seperate occasions) riding along wearing helmets, but the straps weren't done up.
