sorry to say sam, the bike is over priced. especially for this forum. we build our own bikes and most of us could build a little rat not dissimilar, for a lot less. the value to you may outweigh its true value.
fair enough mate ! not seen any others similar of similar age and that actually work or look as good as this. yeah you can probably build one up cheaper but some people dont know how and just want a decent nice looking reliable bike which this is.

Hi Everyone
You are looking at my vintage B.S.A gold crest fixie
i bought this bike with no wheels stem or bars. i restored it and fitted some vintage flip flop track wheels.
a few more pictures here
http://minisam1275.pinkbike.com/album/1961-BSA-vintage-fixie/
The frame, fork, crank, chainring, pedals are all original B.S.A from 1961 they have had some restoration but they do have some pitting on however this is the style i was going for with the bike as the frame has a bit of rust on. i kept it like this to keep with the bike looking like it is vintage.
The pedals have B.S.A cut out in them and have been polished to remove any fine rust on them and really suit the bike. these alone normally sell for about 40-50 quid in the condition they are.
the wheels are unbranded track hubs on rigida superchromix rims. the wheels are in good condition with a bit of rust and pitting but nothing major but it really sets off the look of the bike as you can see in the pictures.
The tyres are standard Raleigh 27 x 1.1/4 touring tyres with gumwalls again really suiting the bikes era.
It has had a new chain and rear sprocket as well as new grease and bearings in the bottom bracket and headset.
The front wheel has some awesome track wheel wing nuts on it. Not sure what make they are but they came with the wheels on a viking.
the seat is a madison flux and has brown leda bar tape on which really finish the look of the bike.
i hope you like the look of this bike as much as i do. i am asking £300 for the bike as i have put a lot of time and money into building the bike like this and really do like it.
if you are interested feel free to email me on sam.roberts@live.com or text or call me on 07772931443
The bike is located in Warrington Cheshire near Liverpool and Manchester i can post but would prefer collection just contact me and we can work something out.
