  Hey Stonehenge, the honest answer is because I find SS an easier ride. I mainly ride to get back and forth to work, and I find being able to let the bike do some of the work now and then is a nicer way to ride and less stress when I'm already dealing with London traffic. I miss being able to brake with the pedals and I did enjoy some aspects of riding fixed, but at the end of the day I'm enjoying SS more.
