I'd add checking the seatpost isn't stuck.
Everything else can be replaced/fixed.
Not really. Its a pretty simple bike.
Just cheack for any signs of a crash. Turn anthing, that shoud turn, to cheak bearings. Wiggle stuff that should'nt move, to check for wear. Plus maybe take a spanner to the rear axle bolts to check they thread OK. Can be a real weak spot with cheap wheels, if the wheels been moved alot.
Cheers guys, hoping to get hold of it friday if all goes well. Just one other thing, I might have to deal with a bit of gravel track from time to time and there are some pretty bad road surfaces round here, what are the thoughts on increasing tyre sizes? Is a 38c a bit over the top? Just want to set it up right from the word go. Thanks

Hi, New today and looking for some advice on a first fixie. I have the chance of buying a Charge plug racer, Fuji Feather, or a Mongoose Maurice, all second hand and at an affordable price.
Just wondering if any of you might be able to assist in making my decision or recommend something suitable. Thanks. -
Thanks, meeting the guy tomorrow and all being well riding away. Will use it for a bit and see. Can't wait< Cheers!
