How did you get to Zagreb and what did it cost? Were they much possibilty damaging the bike in a Rinko bag?

At the launch Andrew Philips did say something about some sorr of transport they were thinking of organising at start and finish. Wizz fly direct from London to Constanta.

How many people will travel not by plane to both the start and from the end do you think? Train from Constanta to UK doesn't sound much fun on top of 4500km.

Descending Ventoux at night is fine. Few cars. Wouldn't fancy Gorge du Verdon as much though.

What time? When I was there in the afternoon you still had to push your bike although I could see the newly painted cycle lane (but not access it)

I seem to remember tcrno5 was £250 so this year's is quite a but more.

Okay, thanks Frank. That is helpful. It seemed like about the smallest one you can get and the price wasn’t too bad - £180. Will probably combine with down gilet and silk liner.

Okay, thanks. The cumulus stuff does look good but don’t fancy paying the duty. I have found a Spark I at quite a bit less than S2S’s quoted price so have gone for that. Plan is for summer use - maybe at altitude so will have to combine it with wearing plenty of clothes! Pack size looks good though.

Has anyone used a Sea to Summit Spark I. This seems to be a popular one for bikepacking/ultra racing and it looks like it packs down small and is light which are my main considerations. Any thoughts on this or similar alternatives?

I wonder how easy it is to tell for the organisation simply by looking at the tracker.
