It's about the perfect fit! I'm tall, but have relatively short legs and the bike feels comfortable, but hard to tell until I get new tyres and actually ride it.
It's still growing on me, and evben though I have a couple of bids it hasn't reached the reserve and I'm sorely tempted to pull; it from the auction!
I guess I could always spend some time restoring it and if it doesn't suit, the effort I've put in should pay dividens when I re-auction it (or advertise it on here). :)

Yes, but ditch the rear light. Concordes are nice little movers and underated
I agree, the read light is horrendous! I did a bit more cleaning last night, and I took the light off and consigned it to the bin :)
The rusty chrome also came up nicely using balled up tin foil and a bit of water. Amazing what tips you can find on the interweb!

Hi, Stumbled accross this place whilst trying to find details about a bike I've had in my Garage/shed/inlaws garage for years.
The view was to sell,(and it's on ebay now), but I'm now feeling I should get out and ride it. I'm probably going to pull the listing.
It's a 57cm Concorde Mistral and the more I clean it and look at it, the cooler and more desireable it becomes!
Should I keep it?
Thanks
Nick
Already got rid of 90% rust on the chrome, still pitted, but only visible from a couple of feet!
There's some odd brown discoloration of the frame where the bottle cages were, any idea how to get rid. Tried all sorts and a lot of elbow grease to no effect!
