Hello
I'm selling my cargo bike, a Bakfiets.nl classic long (non-electric) in grey, 7 gears, rollerbrakes. It's just over a year old and a change in my commute means I can no longer make the most use of it. It's in fantastic condition and built to last with minimum maintenance.
It was mainly used to ferry kids back-and-forth between home and nursery, and beats pushing a buggy any day!
Alongside the bike, the following accessories are included
- Genuine rain canopy to keep the 'cargo' dry
- Genuine rain cover to keep the bike dry while not in use
- Bakfiets padded seat and harnesses x 2
- Schwalbe Pick-up tyre upgrade
- Extra long seat-post (400mm)
- Rear wheel cafe lock
- Dynamo lights
- Kryptonite Evo chain lock
I'll also include a Melia seat for babies. I don't have the official fixings for it but they can be aquired, or it can be strapped-in with the included Bakfiets straps in if you're not overly cautious!
Yours for £2500 o.n.o
Pick-up from Highbury, London

Hello
For years now I've been riding an 80s Raleigh Competition (bought from here in 2011!) that I've converted to single speed, replaced the drop bars with risers etc. I love it, and still get a lot of joy riding it to and from work and around town. I'm 6ft4in and its a 60cm frame, so it's a little small for me, but I've just put the seat post up really high and its comfortable.
However, I need to start transporting my child on the bike with a child seat and after fitting it, it looks like my bike seat is so high up that its going to prevent her from actually getting into it. I've tried altering the seat position but it just makes it really uncomfortable to ride. I get back pain quite easily so little changes like that can make it totally unridable.
I've decided it might be time to switch to a new bike - something bigger, something with some gears probably, some modern brakes for safety and wheels that don't fall off (happened once). Ideally it wouldn't weigh a ton either. I'm not loaded so I'll be looking for something around £500 second hand. I've not looked for a new bike for a long time so I don't really know what's good these days other than some of the vintage frames I see other people riding.
Any tips for brands, models etc that I should keep my eye out for on here, eBay and so on? I've already got a child seat that mounts to the seat tube if that's of any help.
Thanks!
