    Ello All,

Have a set of Criterium bars, 26.4mm diameter. Brand new but scratched to hell in the important bit after my mechanic couldn;t fit them in my 26mm stem, otherwise, new/ Anyway, £15+ postage OBO to a good home or collection from Haggerston? !

    Ello all,

I recently bought a new 26mm 1A Quill stem and matching 26mm Criterium 65 handlebars, but the bars don't fit into the stem. They've been forced in but the hex bolt on the stem won't tighten, it just continually spins.. Have I been had?? the bars are definitely a 26mm diameter, but because it are wedged into the stem I can't actually measure the space in the stem.. Anyways, could it be my 26mm stem not really 26mm??

    Cheers

I'm not sure of the RAL number, but they assured me it was very close to the correct colour. its a House of Kolor paint, marine blue maybe??? We spoke about maintaining the detail in the stamped areas, so hope they will be delicate with the handling. I don't know how they would take the current paint off.. Cost quoted was roughly £200, with applying decals, riveting the head badge back on and delivery.. 4 week turnaround.

So I got all correct period replacement decals, took a last minute picture of the past as a reminder.. Looking forward to the future..

and wrapped up and off to Argos..

Time to go looking for some new bits to replace the stolen bits..

Ok so after having my stem, handlebars and brakes nicked off my Compact a few weeks ago I decided to have the frame cleaned up and resprayed at Argos before I mount everything back on.. I've never been a great fan of the swirly red white and green motifs on the decals.. Is it wrong to leave them off? I feel it looks cleaner and more graphic, but obviously intereferes with being period correct. Your thoughts, please!

    Cheers

    Hi All,

I'm looking to replace the bottom bracket on my Gios Compact, its an italian thread, square taper, 115mm spindle length, for Campag 8 speed Racing Triple.

I'd like to replace it with something good, but not crazy money.. (are Phil Wood BB worth it though?)

    Any advice please?

    Cheers
