I had the same dilemma: which size of MS to order. I'm 5' 9", wanted to replicate a "53cm" road frame. Went for a 50cm frame and it's a great fit.

A smaller frame possibly has a greater a risk of toe overlap on the front wheel, depending on your pedals / cleat position, but I wouldn't worry about it.

I think I found what I was looking for in an old radavist article

Thanks. Did you send the frames with spare lenses, or just the frames?

My optician said that he can take a measurement of plain (non prescription) lenses to work it out, but he wouldn't want to order lenses without some sort of confirmation whether they are base 4, 6, 8 or whatever. I do have a strong astigmatism prescription, so his position makes sense, but I also think he could take a good guess if he wanted to.

Anyone have the Rapha Classic prescription glasses and knows curve number of the lenses?

I have the frames, but with no spare (blank) lenses. The optician won't order prescription lenses without knowing the curve that fits the frames. I've asked Rapha in store and via email and they don't seem to know.

I was quite battered by then! And joining the noisy A12 with cars heading the other way didn't help, so nice to see a lfgss jersey.

Overall I really enjoyed it. I started in Chelmsford - to save having to stay in London the night before - but still got to do 80 miles of the route. I even held on to the lead group for a little bit between Chelmsford and Ongar, which was fun.

It's hard to plan a route around here that is more boring than the one we did: there are lovely lanes everywhere. But understandable that they needed it to be suitable for the numbers, which in my eyes is the priority and the best thing about the ride. If you want country lanes, go with mates / a club / yourself.
