You can see the grips on this one. Got the risers, stem and brake lever for a snip as Deniz at Hadron had taken them off another bike.

Only had my Genesis since August but it's constantly changing. I originally kept it classic but have just switched to risers. I've got brooks mandarin grips on them to match the saddle and keep a bit of the classic feel. I want to powder coat it next.

it is designed for 27", pretty sure of that. want the handlebars to be equivalent in size to standard drop bars that have been chopped. going to get it up and running before thinking about a powder coat. i've got a genesis frame on my other fixie and i much prefer the ride on that to the allez.

yeah it's going to be my knockabout bike, one that i don't mind leaving locked outside. currently use a specialized allez for that job but i prefer riding fixed these days.

had this frame knocking around for a while and i'm starting work on it this weekend. not sure whether to powder coat as i'm doing it on a budget. completed a really expensive project last year so i'm going to try and do this one on the cheap. anyone ever used one of these frames?

it's got this nice feature on the back. if i can do this a different colour to the frame it might look rad.

and this is the stem which was a bitch to remove. going to use narrow straight bars in it. those break levers aren't going anywhere near it.

tried the hammer on the bolt and it worked a treat. nice one y'all, really appreciate the help.
now i'm off elsewhere on the forum to ask questions about the right wheel for my drop out spacing. 125mm by my calculations.

any tips on removing a quill stem. i've taken the bolt out but it's not budging, is there something i'm missing or will i just need to apply brute force somehow?

morning all. i'm tom, live in holloway, producer at bbc 6music. over the last 2 years i've become a massive bike nerd. this is my first post, now i'm off to the mechanics section to ask stupid questions about what to do with that nice old frame that needs threading.
i've seen a few of you down the flask when i've been there on my boring specialized road bike (i sometimes ride with the guys from the hadron shop). i'll try and start coming along on the fixie instead.

@tom_whalley on twitter for those that want to hear things about vinyl, stuff i'm doing on the radio, nottingham forest, and my bike.
