For Sale Salsa Casseroll complete bike, photos here:

It’s the first generation frameset designed for long reach sidepull calliper brakes with straight bladed fork (not the later model with canti bosses) made from Salsa Classico double butted cromoly. Salsa’s description and geometry here:

The frame is pretty versatile, with semi horizontal rear dropouts allowing gears or fixed/singlespeed, proper mudguard clearance and mudguard and pannier rack mounts. The effective top tube is 58.5cm, the seat tube 60cm (centre top) with a headtube of 185mm. I think Salsa list it as a 55cm (which appears to be the distance from the centre of the bb to the top of the top tube).

I bought the frame second hand and built it up as a fixed gear with mostly new components several months ago and have only ridden it a few times. I built it up as a run around but it ended up too nice and I was reluctant to leave it locked up so have replaced it with something less shiny and it is now surplus to requirements.

    Spec as follows:
Frame and fork: Salsa Casseroll (bought second hand in good used condition, some minor paint damage see photos)
Rear Hub: Surly Ultra New (bought new for build, 130mm fixed/free, 32h)
Front Hub: Deore DX (an old hub I had lying around in very good condition, 32h)
Rims: DRC ST17 (bought new for build)
Spokes: Sapim DB (rear 3 cross and the front 2 cross)
Tyres: Continental Ultra Gator Skin 700 x 28c (had these already, very good condition)
Crank: Sugino 172.5mm (had lying around, old but hardly used)
Chainring: Surly Stainless Steel 42t, 3/32”(new for build)
Sprocket: Steel 16t, 3/32” (new for build)
    Chain: Campag Record 9 speed
Saddle: San Marco Rolls (new for build)
Seat post: Ritchey Classic 27.2mm (new for build)
Stem: Ritchey Classic 120mm, 31.8mm (new for build)
Bars: Ritchey Classic 44cm (outside to outside), 31.8mm (new for build)
Bar tape: Fizik (new for build)
Brake levers: Cane Creek SCR 5 (new for build)
Brakes: Shimano BR R650 (new for build)
Headset: Cane Creek 110 (very nice, new for build)
Bottom bracket: Shimano UN 91 (had already, very good condition)
    Pedals not included

There are 22mm of spacers under the stem.
The distance between the top of the seat and the centre of the bb in the photos is approx. 81cm.

I’m in Sheffield, happy for buyer to collect or can arrange a courier.

**£650.00 (plus postage if required) **
