A question about headphones:
I have approx. £100 to spend on a pair of headphones, not earphones, I've been looking at some Bose over or on the ear versions (89.99 and about 129.99 respectively) does anyone have any brands/models they would recommended from experience? I want some that are good at stopping noise leakage so as not to be "that" person on the bus/train/tube.
Cheers for any help!
Noise leakage? both ways?.... tube trains can be dam noisy. Sennheiser HD25-1 II.
With a bit of shopping around you should get them for about a £100-120. Also spares are readily available.

Dunno, but my 38" jeans are now too big and I'm on the last hole of my belt. Back at the gym today so weight might stop decreasing.
If you are doing resistance training then you might well find you don't loose much weight, but you can still lose fat. If the gym provides a free fat measuring service then use that. If not, then measuring your waist is still a good way of tracking progress.

you should DEFINITELY watch 'into eternity'. it's a documentary about nuclear waste and it's horrifying but way interesting. they cant put it anywhere tectonically/geologically active cos the stuff lasts for fucking millions of years and it would move around and come up to the surface etc. but they do put it underground - or at least when they have finished building the stores they will - but it has to go miles and miles and miles underground and it is a pretty difficult process! anyway watch the movie it's amazing
And the government have us believe it's Iran we need to worry about :D

I've got HTC branded screen cover that I actually managed to stick on properly this time along with some kind of back cover that the phone slips into.
I failed miserably at this, however I went to an 02 shop and they had a chap who displayed Jedi master skillz. No charge and invited me back to pop on the second one from the pack when required.

A question for the computer music crowd:
What sequencer software do your recommend for someone with a very low/non existent budget. Wanting something for mac that can utilise midi controller knobs.
I was stoked with how decent Garageband was till I realised it cannot handle midi controller data (other than piano keys).
Reaper. Can try it for free. Mac or PC. $60 for the license if you want to keep it after 30 days and that includes free upgrades up to verion 5.99, currently on 4.10
You may notice that many BBC sports commentators use them, especially in F1. They are also a popular choice with DJ's. They work well in studio recording situations where you don't want the headphone monitor mix leaking onto the recording via the singers microphone.
I have had mine for over 10 years now.
