I crashed and smashed the right brake lever of an 8-speed Chorus group. Anything that could be transplanted would be great.

Pair of wheels nicked off my bike over Christmas. They are mavic xp-21 rims on Campy mirage hubs, 8 speed cassette on the drive side.

Yeah good point. I never even thought about that. There is a photo of quill mounted one on their website but now that I look a bit closer it says a head only.

thanks for the advice, I hadn't even considered that. according to sheldon b it would mean moving everything onto a new rear hub as a 9/10 cassettes won't fit well on an 8. Might try the Avanti and start saving for a full switch down the road.
