It's just about getting time in on the bike, and back to back days.
Doing stuff on to work out what helps you recover best is a good idea too, such as what foods and so on.
These are all tips I've had from a guy who did the Ride Across Britain last year, as I need them for it this year.I've got a 'team meeting' (I'm doing it through work) this week, and we are meant to have some coach joining us, so any more advice I get I shall pass on.
