Cheers Mr Bump I'm hoping they do those bars in a 25.4 clamp size. I've emailed Wiggle - awaiting there reply. I have been scouring the internet for the bars I want (25.4 drop handle bars 46cm silver alloy) but not finding anything. Either my googling skills aren't up to scratch or maybe they're just not out there.

MR C - not sure if any of your bars were wide enough. But I'm guessing I've missed out by now anyway. Things get dibb'd pretty quick around here.

Harv4130 - cheers for the link, but I'm not too keen on the woodchippers

hectorpottie - are these 380 wide? I'm after 460mm if possible

    The hunt continues....

    cheers all

Hi, thanks for all the replies.

jaygee - the 24.2mm is what I measured the handle bar diameter to be. I presumed (probably wrongly) that that would be the clamp measurement too. Nice website that freshtripe. So would I need to go for a 25.4 clamp bars then?

Mr Bump - yep, the stem is original. It says SR on the stem, if that means anything to you? And yes, I did mean silver alloy rather than chrome. Any ideas on where I might find a 46cm wide bar?

Bikeranger - cheers for the offer, but I think I'm after something a bit more traditional looking. And from my google searching your bars look pretty flashy.

    cheers all

    Hello all,

I'm new to this forum but have been told this is the place to come to get help with my search. Not sure if handlebars exist to the spec I want but here it is anyway:

Ideally I'd like some chrome drop handle bars 24.2mm clamp size and quite wide. Is 44cm the widest drop handlebars go to? (I'm 6'6" and I measured across my shoulders and it came to 46cm)

I'm currently tinkering with a Raleigh Medale, converting it to a single speed but the old handle bars are just too narrow for me. Once I find some new handle bars someone can have the old ones if they want...

    Hope someone can help,

    Cheers
    Mark

Nice pic. Are those decent waves I can see in the distance? If I went to Morocco I'd have to build a surfboard carrying bracket on to my bike some how!

This bike look crazy! Could you get an aerodynamically shaped seat post too?

can anyone recommend a seller to get new wheels from on a budget? Not after anything fancy just want to replace the steel 27" wheels on an old 5 speed raleigh medale to alloy single speed ones.

    cheers
