Leaving for university on Saturday and so the hack has to go.

    • Carlton(Corsair I think) frame from the 80s with a rattlecan paint job(Renault Midnight Blue - classy...). Very shallow dent in top tube. Headset and bottom bracket both work well enough. 56 Seat Tube c2c(82 stand over) and 58cm top tube c2c.

    • Raleigh stamped seatpost(sr) with kind of ratty looking but still very good leather saddle

    • Raleight stamped crankset(sr), double but with only a 52 ring on(I have the 42 aswell that will come with it if you want)

    • Raleight stamped stem(sr too, I would imagine...) with flat bar(slight backwards sweep) with naff black BMX levers and white cotton Velox tape.

    • Weinmann center-pull brakes

    • The wheelset is Weinmann dp18 on formula hubs, good condition and true! The fixed side is stripped so this is single speed only!!! Comes with black Kendra Quick Rollers 700x28 and an 18t Dicta freewheel.

    Now to explain the 'almost'...
It doesn't have a chain because the one I was using was rusty as hell and I just wouldn't feel comfortable having someone else use it. It also doesn't have brake cables because I found a use for them elsewhere, but if someone does take it I'll hopefully have had time to run out and grab you some for it!

I'm also throwing in a set of drops with levers and a second 17t Shimano freewheel to try and make up for the lack of cables and chain...

I'm unsure of what to ask for it really...£110 maybe? I imagine that to be the absolute upper limit of what I might get for this though, so feel free to make offers. Cash on pick up in E17 would be greatly appreciated. First to Dibs and PM gets it!

    Thanks,

    Adam.

My current project - a 60s Claud Butler Olympic road/track frame. I stole my brothers 27" wheelset and shoved it on to see how it looked but the clearances are far too small for mudguards...I think it was made for 700c wheels and 'sensible' (25/28ish) sized tyres for the road with sprints for the track.

A was hoping to do the induction and possibly the basic session today....Does it look like it might be dry by 12? It's pretty warm in East London and the ground is drying up fairly well...same over in South?? Worth showing up anyway just to see?

Recently finished cheapy conversion. Nothing special(at all!), but it gets the job done while I save up for something good!

Top tube dent, chipped paint, dirty cloth bar tape and cracked, denim stained leather saddle = character...

**"NOS Vredestein Ricorso tan-wall clincher tyres 700x23
Very nice tyres, handmade in Holland. 23mm, but pretty low profile. I have two pairs left: one set is unused, one has been used very lightly, but the wall of one is in pretty poor shape**.
    Unused £20
    Used £12"

    How poor??
