corny. we've met.
i know, i know...i'm not about to take on the concensus of the whole forum and i deploy potty mouth a lot myself, look:
piss, fuck, shit, poo poo etc.i just think the rape thing is going a bit too far, as is the spastic thing.
yeah my post reads a little preachy and perhaps even condasending but fuck man, someone should say something when people joke about rape.
disability kind of sucks too.anyway, i hear what you're saying.
i just hope that nobody reads it as some kind of vindication of a guy who wants to joke about rape. -

hey hael
spastic used to be used to describe people with a range of motor control disorders including all forms of cerebral palsy. it's extremely perjoritive. my sister has epilepsy. she might have been described as a spastic in the past.
cunt is tough one. i know it's commonly used but if you think about it, most of the people you love most in this world have a "cunt". your mother, your partner, your nan etc etc. it's such a loaded and hateful word which should be avoided as it offends many.
rape just isnt funny, no matter how wittily you feel you deploy a reference to it. someone close to me was raped.
it broke her in a fundamental way.
try to imagine someone close to you being raped. now try to find it humourous. better yet. try to imagine yourself being raped. it happens to guys too. prison etc.so in one post you unleashed a torrent of misogyny, distain for the disabled and a cavalier attitude to rape and sexual assualt,
thing is, you're probably a decent guy.
just think a little before you put your fucking fingers to your keyboard. -
waxing ftw.
stump up and get a decent salon to do it for you.
not nearly as painful as some would have you believe and the resulting improvements to your post training self-massage (no crude comments please) are great. decent massage over smooth legs and some good stretching really does allebviate muscle soreness after heavy training. it seems to work a more lactate out of your muscles than stretching and a spin-ey recovery ride. -
ambrosio riva from velodromshop. had one for nearly a year.
stock but with goldtec, open pro, sapim wheels.
really like it. has withstood the daily 20 mile beating, commuting in central london.
done a couple of 60 milers out of town on it too, no problems there either.
light, seems pretty tough, looks ok.
only issue with it is that it came with about 2 kilos worth of serious track chain. fucker looks like it comes off a motorbike, huge. -
exactly this happens around regents park outer circle, i purposefully ride clockwise to avoid those out doing laps (counterclockwise).
regents park riders are mostly training i guess.
wheelsucking/drafting reduces rider effort and therefore the benefit of their training time. weird.
or perhaps they are practicing drafting. -
