  Hi Guys - as I mentioned before, please go and check one out for yourself if you're interested, no obligations, then you can make judgements based upon your experience. This is where my brief obsession with the blog has to end I'm afraid, otherwise I'll be on here all day. Happy riding.

  Hi dres.

  I am very sorry to hear about your friends that have sustained injuries while riding, I'm a biker myself and have had enough time off the bike due to broken bones etc while downhill mountain biking to know how horrible that is.

  We have developed and tested the product over a two year period and have put a lot of thought into reducing the possibility of any potential injury due to the use of our product. Of course as with all products you can buy, the final choice and decision to buy and use a product in a certain way lies with the consumer.

  Cheers Help! Yep we all know about the "blog heroes" - its always a little hard to take to hear someone talk negatively about something they've not seen in the flesh... Especially when you've put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into making it happen. We're having really positive feedback anyway, but just wanted to set the record straight on a couple of points.   Hi Guys,

  Thanks for the comments! I'll (try) to keep it brief, but just to say anyone that has questions about the comfort and safety of the product should go check it out themselves. Fitzrovia Bicycles on New Cavendish St will have stock this weekend, along with a trial lock that you can try on.

  The guy that mentioned the bikes not being locked up properly on the website is absolutely right - we were just trying to get some nice angles to show the product off, not trying to show how a bike should be locked. We hope that most people that buy them already know how to lock their bikes up properly. The locking diameter is between 85 and 90cm. The packaging does contain some details on best locking practice etc.

  We hope people don't honestly think we would produce, invest and market a product that we wouldn't use ourselves,with our own comfort and safety in mind. We are not a tobacco company...

  The Hiplok can be used on its own or of course in tandem with other locks ( from other lock manufacturers ) depending on the situation, journey and security level needed. We think its a really nice addition to anyones security arsenal.
