So, I found my Brooks on gumtree, two days after losing it. http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/variety-of-new-brooks-saddles/84111798. orinbristow's saddle is also in the pictures... Set up a sting with the bike police, but the thief bailed claiming to have sold all the saddles. So near...

Yep, bummer. Who will want to buy my seriously hammocky green Brooks?
Stolen today (13th July) on corner of Crossway and John Campbell Rd in Dalston, London between 9 and 11pm. Another guy's Brooks was swiped as well.
Green Brooks B17 Special with copper rivets on black Condor seatpost. One of the rear rivets is a little sharp and the metal Brooks sign is wobbly. Oh yeah, and the saddle fits my balls perfectly...
Drop me a line if anyone spots it...

UPDATE: Now sold.
Hi there,
I'm selling my fixie as I no longer have the space to store it alongside my tourer.
It's a green classic lugged 56cm frame (probably Reynolds) that has a custom paint job.
I bought it from Brick Lane Bikes for ~£400 2-3 years ago and still have the receipt. The back wheel buckled quite badly after some serious winter potholes, so I built up a new one - Mavic OpenPro on an Ambrosio Hub.
Otherwise, the spec is:
Sugino cranks
Piazzalungo stem
Pedals and toe clips
Tektro cross-top lever and front caliper brake
No-name saddle
Evolution on Ambrosio front
Mavic OpenPro on Ambrosio rear with flip-flop hub
Gearing is 48:18I'd like £SOLD cash on collection but will consider sensible offers.

I've just booked the flight out to Bosnia for my tour this summer. Sarajevo to Split, up the Croatian coast, through Slovenia, Austria and into Munich where I'll get the train home. Anyone have any experience of riding in these areas? Routes look easy to plan, except in Bosnia, where Google Maps draws a blank...
How are thinking of crossing into Austria from Slovenia? I'm going on a three week cycle tour London-Ljubljana and am spending a lot of time trying to find the best route through the Austrian alps... Some fierce ascents and some great descents so far...

Call the cops and tell them you've spotted the person selling stolen goods. The bike police team have people down at Brick Lane market every week.
Apparently the hardest part is matching stolen good to owners, as few people report their bike parts stolen (e.g. saddles) as they're generally difficult to distinguish from others anyway. The general lessons seem to be:
I'm going to take a soldering iron to my new Brooks. I think I'll brand in either a hot-dog bun or some large hairy balls on the saddle surface. Maybe my name too...
