Concerned: It's weird how some details seem so clear from the accident and some of it just seems a total blur. Well done for communicate the details coherently. There were two of us - I was the one in the yellow jacket. I don't think I remember you asking about her breathing but thankfully, somehow, while we were there she was fully conscious - breathing and able to talk. I'll spare the details but she was trapped above the knee. Although we were trying to keep her calm, hold her hand and talk to her, we felt so helpless as there was absolutely nothing else we could do so it is encouraging to hear that that may have been of some (even if only very minimal) comfort to her.
I used one of the links above to call number for people who witnessed it and spoke to people there. Although I didn't see the actualy incident, just heard the scream, they are coming to take a statement from me and are very keen to hear from anyone who saw any part of it or was involved in any way so they can get an all round picture of what went on.
I was in shock, but thankfully have had great friends around and been well looked after! I'm aware that this may effect me for a while. -
Hi. Like the guy who called the ambulance, I also came across this forum trying to find out more information about how the woman was doing. I was one of the cyclists who was with her until the ambulance arrived. It was horrendous and completely shocking.
I confirmed the update on here with police this morning and the last update they had was that she was in a critical condition, although obviously the details they can give out are extremely limited.
If information from 'zwanzig20' is reliable, I will keep an eye out for any further updates on here.
James, thanks so much for the update.
Tried to PM you but not sure it worked - if it didn't- let me know!
