I've owned several Carreras in the last ten years and a regular problem that I encountered with all of them was exessive chain ring wear.Within a year the chain would be slipping off the worn teeth and my shin was taking a battering as it hit the ring, so the first thing I did when I bought my Zero three months ago for the bargain price of £239-99p, was replace the chainring with a decent quality one.I found that the standard gearing of 42x16 was a shade too high for my 63 year old knees,so I fitted a 40 toothed
chainring which gives me a knee friendly 70 inch setup.I ride a ten mile round trip to work and have so far done about 400 miles with no problems at all.The bike is light, manoeuvrable and its frame seems to be straight enough for me to ride with no hands on the bar without veering into the undergrowth-not that I would do anything so irresponsible, unless it was an emergency-like giving a motorist a double middle finger when they scrape past with inches to spare. It would be a bargain at twice the price,
French kissing a chick with breath like paint stripper.....trouble is ,they're the only ones who'll let me do it.
