  A friend of mine just passed there, and said that someone (a pedestrian by his account) has just been hit by a passing car. It sounded bad.

  Did anyone witness this, or know of anyone who witnessed the accident?

  The Police don't have any CCTV, and are struggling for witnesses.

  I've just got back from the hospital. He's still critical, but is steady.

  Thanks for all of your messages. I showed them to his Mum, and she appreciated it.

  Don't worry too much about the press. Slightly amusing that lgfss has been used in this way, but it's the least of our worries!
