The route recce took place yesterday so the revised route sheet and gpx stuff will be available on to the Exodus website in a day or so.

We've made quite a few updates to so please don't use an old route sheet or old gpx track.

The Cheddar tea stop will definitely be at the Cheddar Scouts' hut instead of the Gorge. There will be tea, cake water and - luxury of luxuries - toilets.

Having helped run the tea stops for a few years I can confirm you can indeed top up at North Curry, and we do have water available at Cheddar or Luppit - just ask if you need any.

This year we might be using the scout hut in Cheddar instead of stopping in the Gorge itself (any changes will be marked on the route sheet).

The Luppit stop will also be setting up early so hopefully there will be tea/coffee/water/cake for any faster riders this year.

Look forward to seeing everyone there, I'm having a year off from tea organisation so I can ride it :P

Typically it's only closed for that one night due to reasons linked to the balloon festival :-(

For info: Clifton suspension bridge is going to be closed on the 13th so the ride will be heading out of Bristol via Sea Mills. The amended route will be up online at http://www.exmouthexodus.co.uk/ after the recce ride (in about 2 weeks).

If you join the mailing list you'll get route updates etc as and when they happen.

Only 5 weeks to go now!

We rode to Exeter very early, and there was hardly any motor traffic around. It's not the best of roads, but having done it a couple of times now I've slightly taken to its ups and downs. I haven't tried the alternative route yet that tricitybendix mentions.

The alternative route is nice - flat and pretty easy to follow now it's all been signposted. You emerge on to the road at Topsham, about 3 miles from central Exeter.

I'll be on tea-van duties again this year with Chuffy, George the Lobster and Victor the teapot. We were a bit late to the second stop last year due to dropping in at North Curry to help with washing up and cooking. There's always a couple of fast groups who miss out on their second cuppa!

    Tricity,
specialized say that the main difference between men and women is reach, and although some if it could come from shorter torsos most of it comes from shorter arms.

Even though my husband has the same inside leg measurement as me, and isn't much taller he also has arms like an ape, so that sounds sensible!

None of my bikes are women specific...but they all have 49cm or 50cm frame. The best fitting is my Kona Haole.
I recently took delivery of a hard-to-find 50cm Carlton frame to convert to single speed, but it has front end crash damage :( It's really difficult to find an older small frame.
