  sorry if i seem silly, the black bit at the front seem to be a guard pf some sort, from the picture the teeth are furthest away, isnt that the inside of the chainring?

  thanks for your reply, i think the chain ring is already inside the spider.

  i think this is down to the gxp bb being external which creates the large chainline, i think!

  Bollocks! Got the crankset and the chainline is gonna be 51mm, this is far too much right? Its not a problem to send it back though. The wheels should be here next week as mention above. Can antone recommend a crankset and bb that will give me the magical 42mm? Also im on a fairly tight budget.

  cant thank you old boys enough! what about these cranks, sorry for being a pain. http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/CSTRFIREX/truvativ-firex-single-speed-crankset it says it comes with a BB too, is this a bargain or am i missing something?
