Tidy looking build too, unless that's an ugly stem being tactically hidden!

I've also tried (unsuccessfully) to hide the missing head badge ;)

Na, just a standard silver BBB stem, nothing special but to be honest the frame deserves more than I could afford to spend on the build. (for now)

Picked this up a couple of weeks super cheap. In poor nick and done up with some nasty parts. Changed stem/bars/shifter/mech to silver, new bar tape, bit of tlc to the chrome and paint and she's good to go.

That bomb thing turned out to be a pile of bollix too. No connection to the Giro other than it happened to be found in Dublin the same day. Far more likely to be part of an ongoing gang war thing, lots of bombs involved in that.

There's often grumblings of one sort or another during the first few stages of a lot of grand tours, they very often tend to be flat/ceremonial affairs that only spring to life in the last 10-15k. Yesterday was definitely a victim of this crossed with poor road surface condition. (Blessed with an unbelievably good sprint though)

I'd rather see a well organised Tour of Ireland than 3 days of haphazard Giro coverage

Interesting point. The Giro was 'semi officially' being used as a barometer to gauge public interest in reinstating the 'Tour of Ireland' they tried about five or six years ago but it didn't really stick, at least not to the extent that caught on in the mid 80's here. Anyway, the crowds were insane.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing for most of the small towns and villages along the route.

I can understand the respective tours dipping in and out of neighbouring countries on stages, especially to take in spectacular mountains of what have you but 3 days or rainy Irish scenery, before a rest day, before actually getting into the proper shit is a bit disjointed.

I assume you'll feel the same come July?

fwiw if anyone is wondering whether it's worthwhile signing into facebook for the 'cool' feature on the loading screen, don't bother, it's not 'cool' and definitely not necessary.

I guessed what it was about half way through and am extremely glad that I did not do it ;)

As an aside, I think i'd vote getting a head shot with the bow in The Last of Us as the most satisfying 'shot' in gaming. Especially when it's on an enemy that has just pulled a weapon to shoot you and that one arrow is literally all you have in your arsenal.

found this interesting. sorry to non-mgs fanpersons.

Never apologise to non-mgs fanpersons. They don't deserve it.
