Thanks for the information re carlton framesets my frame is no F1676 it also has the numbers 351 stamped into the bb it was sold to me as a carlton pro way back in 1980 i think it is the real deal but not sure about the colour it was when it was built if you have any thoughts on this that would be great.
i am also looking for a front fork the orginal was half chrome with a slopped chrome crown any idea where i would get my hands on themRegards

Hi i am also doing a rebuil on a carlton pro
I have dated mine to 1970/1971 on the carlton website like you i am looking for a much info as possiable, maybe you can help my frame no is F1676 but it is also stamped 351 i think it may have been a limited run of some sort i know Carlton did that.
However i can only find pictures of this bike in lagoon blue and i am wondering if this bike came in any other colours any help would be appreciatedRegards

Can anyone help ??I am rebuilding a 1970/1971 carlton professional 531
and i am looking for a new set of forks they are half chrome with a sloped crown
if anyone can help with information re these bikes i would be delighted if they could let me know .
the only colours i have seen this bike in is lagoon blue does anyone know if they came in any other colours??

That website is classic cars & bicycles not bicycle and google if without the .com
As for the bb measure the bb of the bike this will give you the size its very easy
