It's just an absolutely brutal league...the 'easy' games come round and you sit there wondering how every one of the opposition is bigger and faster than you ever remember thinking they were...

Every turnover of possession tends to result in a chance on goal and you just have to hope that any breakthrough you do manage proves likewise!

Good to hear…we were so pleased they were happy to head out to our new house in Thanet having done our first house in Dartford so glad they’ve helped someone else.

We had twenty square metres of boarding, ladder, new light and new door/hatch to replace the existing one for just under £1,450 all in at the end of last year.

Wasn’t that much more than buying the bits myself, so was an absolute no brainer to get people in that actually know how to do it!

@ReekBlefs - here’s my post from when they did the loft in our last house: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/15766773/

Try Ideal Loft Ladders. No idea what they’re like at short notice, but they’re a great firm that we had board our old loft and then the new one once we moved just outside their usual patch (they were happy to do it as a former customer).

Pretty sure others here have used them too as remember recommending in the past.

‘This Aviva flooding thing is bollocks…’

We moved away from them after they wanted too much of an increase when it came to renewal time, but Aviva insured our property at a very competitive (first year) price despite us being about a hundred metres from the North Sea…insurers, eh?! Will never work them out!

Whilst I’d obviously prefer you to smash all of Derby’s ‘07/08 records I actually think you’ll do alright next year (not as well as ‘00/01 though!)…there’s a lot of similarities to the way we went up under Lambert and we ended up 12th.

The Premier League is sh*t as a non-‘big’ side, but it’s the only place to be - I think with the financial backing you’ve now got you’re in a good position to give it a go, and sure you’ll do better than our last two terms (helped in no way by Delia and co’s lack of interest/ability in finding investment).

The top flight would be better with both of us in it…fingers crossed…

Certainly deserved it over the forty-six games, @tbc but the media love-in’s a little too much for me (we certainly didn’t get it when we did the same under Lambert back in 2009-11 and not did Southampton a year later).

Hoping we can somehow scrape through the play-offs and join you - it’s been too long since we’ve had a top-flight derby!

Wouldn’t recommend them for a bathroom refit, mind…we thought they’d be ideal as a national chain but turns out any old clown can pass their vetting and become one of their installers.

Initial install was such a mess we ended up with a total rip-out and re-fit after going through customer services and a regional installation manager inspection - 34 days of work in the house over the two installs (43 without a bathroom including weekends) and who knows how many hours spent researching, writing and generally trying to sort the problems.

Products are good, but their installers are an absolute lottery.

Bought my Dad the Taito one for Christmas as he was a big Space Invaders fan when he was younger - the user experience is a little confusing (you hit select before start on the start menu…‘why do I have to add a coin before playing?!’) and the screen’s a bit smaller than I anticipated it being.

Lovely bit of kit though, and he’s almost certainly going to be getting the Pac-Man cart in the near future (probably on a day I’ll be there to make sure it works!).
