Wow!!! The Slug, that looks awesome (said in best American accent). Really very nice for what was meant to be a beater! Are those the 501 forks? Do you need front and rear brakes if it is going to be fixed?
Cheers. Yeah, I got a bit carried away after I got it powder coated.
I'm going to run it SS to start with and then try fixed later. Where I live, massive hill with a very busy road at the bottom makes a full brakeset the sensible option.
I actually managed to find a long drop Dia Compe last night so will have it up and running soon.
Edit: Oh yeah and they are the 501 forks, I think they work really well.

Was previously 'The Slug'

I really just need brakes, which is proving problematic due to the drop on the rear, probably going for Tektro R556 but can only find them in sets and they will be too long for the front.

Great thread. Good to know I might be able to get some friendly advice as I work on my first fg.
I bought Tel's slug http://www.lfgss.com/thread48219.html#post1570354

Yeah, I love it. The wheels are from Varno, 40mm Pegasus on Novatech hubs.
