chris is right for Rd's that 7401 is stamped as 7 speed (7400 is 6 speed and 7402 is 8),Although it doesn't matter what derailleur you use as they are all compatible with each other no matter how many speeds on the cassette (within the 74** range), i use a 7401 RD with 8 speed DA brifters & cassette :D, good luck with the sale!
