Salsa Casserole 2010 Size 54.
Flip/Flop Hub – Amazing Condition, Polished, New Hand Built Wheels - £700 ono
Images in Dropbox here
Due to a house move and an evil girlfriend I’m selling my beloved Salsa Casseroll. I bought this bike from new in 2011 from Triton Cycles, rode round for a bit then parked it in my front room. It’s hardly been ridden. Last year I did a complete rebuild on it with new hand-built wheels, new chainset and tyres. Since, it’s only been on the road twice for a couple of short trips so is in amazing condition (Wheels, Tyres, Chainset are practically new). It’s a flip/flop hub with a Surly 16T fixed and SA 17T Freewheel.
This has had a lot of improvements since the original build. All the details of the original are on the Salsa site here
Not many of these around, as few made it to the UK in this colour, they changed the paint colour to blue in 2011 and changed the brakes to cantis. This is a beautiful bike and a lot of work (and money) has gone in to getting it to look this good.
Frame: Salsa Casserole 2011 (Gold, or Ginger Beer as Salsa like to call it)
Frame Material: Salsa Cromoly
Wheels: H Plus Son polished rims on Halo Polished Hubs 32h (hand built by Keep Pedalling Mcr last year)
Cog: Surly 16t and SA 17t freewheel
Crank: BLB 1/8X46T
Crank Length: 165
Seat post: Salsa Polished
Bars: Sals Cyclocross Polished
Brakes: Tektro
Tyres: 28c Panasonic Panela PT Tan Walls
Seat: SalsaPretty sure that's everything..
I’m also including the rear brake, although it isn’t presently attached, and the rather dapper chainguard. This has never been used as I thought it didn’t look cool enough. However, it’s picked up a couple of small scratches in storage (see images).
I’ve now moved to Manchester but checked postage with Shiply, and can get it to London as a complete bike for about £48. Obviously, anyone local can collect for free.
