Yeah, that's EXACTLY the spot. I wonder what it will take for the police to actually take some kind of action... ? So there's been regular attacks happening in the SAME PLACE for a year now - doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to work something out.
A similar thing happened to me in that exact spot about 4 months ago - I got away without a beating though, just had bike, phone, wallet and watch stolen. I actually spotted the guys a few weeks later hanging out around De Beauvoir Square during the day but the disappeared into the estates.
I told this to the police but they haven't acted on this.
I started a thread here after my incident: http://www.lfgss.com/thread43612.html
Surely if the police have just a minimum brain activity they can see the pattern here. It keeps happening the same place, at the same time and in the same way. How many young guys can there possibly be around there? They shouldn't be that hard to find!

Hi Guys
I've had my bike stolen on Friday night on De Beauvoir Rd where two guys kicked me off my bike and took it. So I will recommend that people do not cycle up this road alone at night.
It's a "Rapide" frame, it's singlespeed freewheel, has brooks saddle and handlebar tape.
If anyone sees it or can help with finding it I would be super happy!

Oh Todd I sent description as a comment, didn't realise that it was about you and not the comment. Sorry!
So anyway, 2 white males 20-22, both slim to average build, one was 180cm had short brown, slightly spikey hair, looked and sounded british, the other was slightly shorter ~175cm, was wearing a hoodie so a bit harder to tell, but i think he had longer blond and slightly curly/wavy hair.
Edscolbe, yes a taxi drove by 2-3 min later and I got him to call and the police was there within minutes.
Risk112, it was a dark road and one guy steps onto the road, I tried to avoid him and ended up in the otherside of the road where the other guy stepped out from behind a car and kicked my bike. I fell over and before I knew it they were over me screaming for my valuables.
Thanx for the support guys! Let me know if you see anything!

Thanx for the link to the article! Now we can only hope that they can track down all the bikes that has been stolen - most likely not though.
