Hello!
I went for the Chrome Turd for Golds offer and they completely ignored my size request and obviously sent me whatever was to hand.
As a result, I have a pair of size 9.5 (UK 8.5), when I wanted a size 11.5 (UK 10.5).
They're Kursk Shoes in Black as seen here: http://www.chromebagsstore.com/shoes/kursk.htmlWould like to swap for my size if anyone else had the same problem with Turds for Gold.
I might also consider swapping for a Black Brooks B17 that hasn't been broken in yet. -
So the pearson's got a 120mm spacing, which limits my options a bit.
Looks like the SRAM P5 (122mm, or is that pushing it in an alu frame?) or the Sturmey S-RF5 (119mm or 111mm) would work.
I have a rear brake so no issues there.
Fewer HTFUs than expected...an added bonus. I'll readily admit that I'm a bit soft, plus my knees have been kinda sketchy since age 10, so I don't fancy doing any substantial distances (or more specifically...hills) fixed.

Got some dualisms and I'm almost adjusted to getting my feet into them first time.
Just using them for general riding around/commuting and find them really comfy and secure. I don't skid / skip stop although pulling up feels as effective as doing so on spds (if not more so).
The only problem is if you miss first time and end up stamping on top of them, they can get flattened/tangled which which can be a bit of a hassle. -

I'm quite keen on starting to cycle for fitness and to do "proper" distances. I.e. not just commuting and general getting around in London. As a result I'm thinking a geared bike would be a sensible option.
The problem is I don't really have the money (or more importantly the storage space) for a second bike. So I'm thinking of investing in something like this: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/MWheel_Shimano_Alfine_Hub_Gear_Road_Rear_Wheel/5360049365/ or getting something similar built.
I'm on a Pearson Touche. Basically I'd liked to keep it fixed during the week and geared for longer rides on weekends. Does anyone have any experience with having a second rear wheel with gears? Would it be sensible to stay on my 48/18 set up with an alfine hub?
Also - anyone got tips on where to get a wheel built up / has one lying around that would be suitable?

Noob alert...
Is there no edit function on here? Meant to link to the post rather than the thread...sorry.

Thanks guys...had another related question, but rather than ask again...I'll just link to it. Question about pedals - keen on using soft shoes, not so keen on wide pedals (worried about pedal strike)

Sorry, assumed most of the people on here would know what I was on about.
Turns out it was a bit of a long shot eh?
