Spent the past few days updating my stable,
first is fun commuter, noting particularly fascinating about it
the rear wheel will not die... through 2 danish winters with no services..
Next up, parts bin build. Not sure quite what it is, I'm thinking of it as a fixed training TT bike (although I don't do TT's, it's just really fun to ride!)
Last but not least, new cockpit and cables, happy with the position.
(I know the wheels are anti, but they were free and none of these are planned, match everything LFGSS bikes....)
Ready, steady, BITCH!!

Thanks for the local knowledge Drøn, I'll check it out. Ed I know what you mean, and I'm only 70kg, but with a les Paul on my back, an amp on a front rack and a change of clothes/other gear it can get heavy.. I would like to know that the bike won't break.
I'm a little off Surly as in a past life as a London bike mech (at London Recumbents an then Bikefix) we sold them and both bosses had them, which has given them unsexy connotations..

I need a new bike for my commute and think it should be built around a cx frame. I live in Copenhagen and often have to ride 30-40 km in a day, through snow.. This bike wont be raced, but could do with being fast, and fun to ride. It also has to be steel. I don't particularly want discs as cable discs are a faff. mudguards mounts would be great and perhaps mounts for a front rack (I'm a proffesional guitarist and being able to transport a small amp would be great...) Budget is not really the main issue, but value for money is.
any ideas?
Ha! that's great! I've had it for nearly 2 years now, not particularly in love with it, but it always seems to work. It is REALLY stiff though.... tubing seems quite thick for ally, it hasn't dented from abuse.
