Hi,
Ive got some new 700c X 19 tires which I dont need for now, so Id like to sell, need to make my money back really,
they are nothing special, just plain amber wall tires, look quite nice. cant remember the brand off the top of my head, but they were made in yugoslavia if it makes any difference?!
Ideally would like £20 for the pair. They have been put on a set of wheels, wheeled around on garage floor then taken straight off again. can meet buyer in kings cross station on a saturday?
cheers! -

Hi everyone,
Ive been thinkin recently about learning to build wheels, have a mate that can teach me and although ive been building bikes for a while, I am yet to build a wheel and I would really like to.
The free wheelset that got given away a while ago got me thinking - does anyone happen to have an old damaged wheel set sittin around that I could use for practising truing and then rebuilding completely? rather than buying good rims and risk ruining them Id rather get damaged bits already for practisin.Obviously, its just to learn on so size/type doesnt really matter although it would be nice if there were a fixed 700c wheelset which would mean I had something I could use on the frames im working on right now (if i did a good enough job) but i know that may be pushing it!
thanks, drop me a pm if you have anything and let me know how much you want.

Aye, once again LFGSS to the rescue. Thanks very much gentlemen.
I'm gonna go for the framesave and get someone, maybe Mario to clear coat it.
Or just Tcut, polish and not ride in the rain.Thanks..
I hope you dont mind me saying, but clear coating would be very sensible! just not riding in the rain isnt enough to keep moisture off of exposed metal, moisture is all in the air and theres enough to oxidise the metal so youll still get rust unless its clear coated.
One was dead against destroying original paint and preffered gentle renovation and another said 'hey, if you're going to love this old frame and more importantly ride it then if you repaint it is neither here nor there.
I guess if its a super rare frame then 'gentle restoration' is best but other less important frames..? Well you've gotta like the way it looks..Yeah, its tough isnt it!
but then again, rare frames, for some reason, usually look great, but if it looks like shit then the paint jobs probably too far gone if that makes sense?Glad that youre keeping and protecting the original paint though!

what do you mean by 'framesave it'..?
And the clear coat is something a professional would do, right.?
Im not sure about what exactly framesave is but clear coating can be done yourself, it really depends howm uch you value the bike. if you think its worth it, and you want to get it clear coated, get someone to do it, it shouldnt be astronomical and it will undoubtedly look better than a DIY job but you can get rattle can clear metal sealer or lacquer which provides a clear rust proof coat.
down to you!
Hi everyone,
Now ive finally sorted a half decent fixed daily hack I fancy building a BMX, wanted to give it a go for a while so has anyone got an old bmx or any parts lying around that I could put towards the build? if you have, let me know what you got and what you want for it.
I live in cambridge so can collect anywhere around here or any tube stop in london on a saturday.
