  Fair play to all that give up by way of cold turkey and so on, though.
  Currently not up for the HTFU factor of the latter, the small pen type inhalator seems unnatural, gum is just rank, and that drug that [allegedly] makes you want to kill yourself doesn't look too appealing either...

  Been riding single over fixed these past few months due to some incidents involving the chiltern hills. Still suffering in a way, presumably due to somewhat low lung capacity due to smoking circa 30 a day for the past 15 years (blunts notwithstanding).

  Do GPs generally have the wherewithal to check lung capacity at their surgeries? I remember, as a boy, some kind of medical roadshow did attend my place of education with such a device, however effective authoritative control or power over access to the device was maintained exclusively by the bigger boys and their cohorts and I apparently did not meet the access criteria.
